Fall Update: Building the Foundation for Planning

Greetings, Glendale Heights!

The planning team has spent this fall gathering public input and data to build the foundation for the Village’s Comprehensive Plan and Parks Master Plan.

What have we been up to?

  • The planning process officially kicked off with a joint meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission (PZC) and the Parks & Recreation Committee (PRC). Read the full summary here.
  • We held a series of focus group interviews with the Village Board, Village staff, and community stakeholders to learn about key issues and opportunities facing Glendale Heights today.
  • We talked to residents at La Rosita Fresh Market, trading tacos for ideas about the Village’s future. Thank you to all who shared and to La Rosita for generously donating delicious food! Read all about it here.
